What this amendment would do
This amendment, submitted by Mr. Luján, aims to create a point of order in the Senate against any legislation, joint resolution, motion, amendment, or conference report that does not prohibit contracts or payment agreements to companies owned by Elon Musk.
To bypass this rule and allow the Senate to consider such legislation anyway, it would take an affirmative vote of three-fifths of the chosen and sworn members to waive or suspend the rule, or to sustain an appeal of the ruling of the Chair.
