What this amendment would do

  • Submitted by Ms. WARREN (for herself and Mr. Markey) as SA 1545.

  • It creates a deficit-neutral reserve fund related to maintaining Federal support for Massachusetts-based health care providers.

  • It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise the allocations of a committee or committees, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution.

  • It allows the Chairman to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for one or more bills, joint resolutions, amendments, amendments between the Houses, motions, or conference reports relating to this purpose.

  • The adjustments are based on the amounts provided in such legislation for those purposes.

  • The legislation would not increase the deficit over the period of the total of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
