What this amendment would do

  • Purpose: The amendment aims to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to protecting Federal higher education funding for Massachusetts at the end of title III.

  • Changes and Additions: It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution. It also allows the Chairman to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to protecting Federal higher education funding for Massachusetts, provided that the legislation does not increase the deficit over the period of the total of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
