What this amendment would do

Ms. Warren, along with Mr. Markey, put forward this amendment for the congressional budget resolution for fiscal year 2025. Plain and simple, it is about keeping Federal funding safe for offshore wind projects right there in Massachusetts.

What it aims to change or add

  • The amendment adds a brand new section to the end of title III of the budget resolution.

  • It allows the Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Budget to change budget allocations and make other adjustments for legislation that protects Federal funding for offshore wind projects in Massachusetts.

  • There is a strict catch that holds our officials accountable: the legislation cannot increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
