What this amendment would do
MR. KING submitted SA 1519, which is an amendment intended to be proposed to H. Con. Res. 14. This resolution establishes the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2025 and sets forth the appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2026 through 2034.
The purpose of the amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to veteran obstetrics and gynecology health care and prevention services at community-based outpatient clinics.
It aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution. It also allows the Chairman to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to health care for veterans. This includes expanded obstetrics and gynecology health care and prevention services for veterans provided at community-based outpatient clinics operated by the Department of Veterans Affairs, provided that the legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
