S.Amdt. 1518

Mr. King submitted amendment SA 1518 to the concurrent resolution H. Con. Res. 14, which sets the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2025 and outlines the budgetary levels for fiscal years 2026 through 2034.

Purpose and Changes

The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund related to expanding access to health care for rural veterans at the end of title III.

• It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution.
• It allows adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to veterans health care.
• It covers bills, joint resolutions, amendments, amendments between the Houses, motions, or conference reports.
• It includes legislation that expands access to rural health care providers, community-based outpatient clinics, or Vet Centers in rural areas inside the United States.
• These adjustments are limited to the amounts provided in such legislation, provided that the legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
