What this amendment would do
MR. KING submitted SA 1508 to the concurrent resolution H. Con. Res. 14, which sets the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2025 and the levels for fiscal years 2026 through 2034.
The purpose of this amendment is to create a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to presence and domain awareness.
It aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.
These adjustments can be made for one or more bills, joint resolutions, amendments, amendments between the Houses, motions, or conference reports relating to presence and domain awareness.
This includes expanding Coast Guard infrastructure, maritime domain awareness, and presence in the Arctic region, provided that the legislation does not increase the deficit over the period of the total of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
