What this amendment would do

MR. WELCH submitted amendment numbered SA 1499 to be proposed for the concurrent resolution H. Con. Res. 14.

Purpose of the Amendment

The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to support for Federal dairy programs at the end of title III.

What it Aims to Change or Add

  • It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution.

  • It allows the Chairman to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to Federal programs that support small- and medium-scale dairy operations.

  • It applies provided that the legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
