What this amendment would do

MR. WELCH submitted amendment SA 1494 to the concurrent resolution H. Con. Res. 14 for the fiscal year 2025 budget.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund that relates to improving small farm crop insurance offerings.

It aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels. It also allows the Chairman to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.

These changes are for legislation that bolsters rural communities by improving crop insurance offerings for small farms, as long as that legislation does not increase the deficit from fiscal year 2025 through 2034.
