This amendment was submitted by Ms. Alsobrooks, with Mr. Kim as a co-sponsor, for the congressional budget resolution for the United States Government for fiscal year 2025.
Purpose and Changes
-
The amendment creates a deficit-neutral reserve fund.
-
It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to make adjustments and revise allocations for legislation relating to the Federal workforce.
-
Specifically, this can include preventing an indiscriminate reduction in force of probationary employees at Federal agencies.
