What this amendment would do

  • Submitted by: Ms. Warren.
  • Purpose: This amendment sets up a deficit-neutral reserve fund.
  • Changes to the Bill: It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to change committee allocations, aggregates, and other levels in the resolution, and adjust the pay-as-you-go ledger. This applies to legislation that does not reduce the average tax liability of corporations with income over $100,000,000, as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit from fiscal year 2025 through 2034.
