S.Amdt. 1438

Mr. Bennet submitted SA 1438 to the concurrent resolution H. Con. Res. 14, which sets the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2025 and sets forth appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2026 through 2034.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to providing flexible financing options for affordable housing production at the end of title III.

It aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution. It also allows the Chairman to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for bills, joint resolutions, amendments, amendments between the Houses, motions, or conference reports relating to providing flexible financing options for affordable housing production. These revisions and adjustments can be made by the amounts provided in such legislation for those purposes, as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
