What this amendment would do
Ms. Rosen submitted SA 1407 to the concurrent resolution H. Con. Res. 14 for the fiscal year 2025 budget.
-
The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to prohibiting the imposition of tariffs that would limit tourism to the United States.
-
It aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise allocations, aggregates, and other levels, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.
-
These revisions are for legislation relating to prohibiting actions by the executive branch that would limit tourism to the United States, which may include the imposition of across-the-board tariffs on countries whose citizens visit the United States.
-
The legislation must not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
