What this amendment would do
Mr. Bennet submitted SA 1392 to the concurrent resolution H. Con. Res. 14 for the fiscal year 2025 budget.
-
The amendment aims to add a new point of order in the Senate against considering any legislation that forgoes future revenue-raising opportunities through the one-time sale of Federal land.
-
To get around this rule and pass such legislation anyway, the Senate would need an affirmative vote of three-fifths of the Members duly chosen and sworn. A three-fifths vote is also required to sustain an appeal of the ruling of the Chair.
