S.Amdt. 1380

Mr. Bennet submitted SA 1380 to the concurrent resolution on the congressional budget for fiscal year 2025 and setting forth appropriate budgetary levels for fiscal years 2026 through 2034.

The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to protecting farmers and consumers in the United States at the end of title III.

It aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger. This applies to legislation relating to protecting farmers and consumers in the United States, which may include prohibiting provisions of law that would decrease Federal spending on farm safety net programs or nutrition programs.

This change can only happen if the legislation does not increase the deficit over the total of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
