What this amendment would do
-
Mr. Bennet submitted the amendment, known as SA 1378, to the concurrent resolution H. Con. Res. 14 for the fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
-
The purpose of the amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to protecting hospitals at the end of title III.
-
It aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger.
-
These revisions and adjustments are for legislation relating to protecting hospitals, which may include prohibiting any action that would lead to uncompensated care.
-
The changes can only happen if the legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
