What this amendment would do
Mr. Bennet submitted SA 1362 as an amendment to the concurrent resolution H. Con. Res. 14.
- The amendment adds a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to funding for the AUKUS trilateral security partnership.
- It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution.
- It permits adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to maintaining or increasing funding for the AUKUS trilateral security partnership between Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
- This applies to one or more bills, joint resolutions, amendments, amendments between the Houses, motions, or conference reports.
- The condition is that the resulting legislation would not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
