What this amendment would do
This is amendment SA 1327, submitted by Mr. Peters. The purpose of this amendment is to add a reserve fund relating to the Federal Government fulfilling its responsibility to pay small businesses for work performed under contract.
It aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution. It also allows the Chairman to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger for legislation relating to protecting American small businesses. This includes ensuring that small businesses that performed work under contract for the Federal Government are timely paid for work performed, including work performed prior to the funding freeze by the President on January 24, 2025.
