What this amendment would do
-
Submitted by: Ms. Blunt Rochester
-
Target: Concurrent resolution H. Con. Res. 14, setting the congressional budget for fiscal year 2025 and levels for fiscal years 2026 through 2034
-
Purpose: It aims to set up a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to preventing the undermining of nonprofit community development organizations that help ease the nationwide housing shortage.
-
Changes to the Bill: It allows the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger. This can be done for legislation relating to preventing the undermining of nonprofit community development organizations that help ease the nationwide housing shortage, as long as the legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
