MR. GRASSLEY submitted the amendment to the resolution S. Res. 108. The purpose of this amendment is to add specific statements to the preamble before the first whereas clause.

What It Aims to Change or Add

  • Adds a statement about a 2020 threat made by the Senate Democratic Leader to Supreme Court Justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh regarding abortion rulings.

  • Adds statements about numerous Senate Democrats attacking the legitimacy of the Supreme Court and calling it a partisan and reactionary court in recent years.

  • Adds a statement claiming that the executive branch, during President Biden's administration, routinely flouted immigration, civil rights, and other laws to advance a partisan and unlawful agenda.
