What this amendment would do
Mr. Daines submitted amendment numbered SA 1151, which is intended to be proposed for the concurrent resolution S. Con. Res. 7 for the fiscal year 2025 and fiscal years 2026 through 2034 budget.
The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund relating to decreasing federal funding for nongovernmental organizations that facilitate illegal immigration into the United States.
It aims to allow the Chairman of the Committee on the Budget of the Senate to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other appropriate levels in the resolution, and to make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger. This can be done for legislation relating to decreasing federal funding for nongovernmental organizations that facilitate illegal immigration into the United States, as long as that legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2029 or fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
