What this amendment would do
Mr. Daines submitted amendment SA 1150 to the concurrent resolution setting the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2025 and setting levels for fiscal years 2026 through 2034.
The purpose of this amendment is to add a deficit-neutral reserve fund related to increasing energy security and Federal revenues by promoting the development of Federal coal in the Powder River Basin.
Specifically, it aims to allow the Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Budget to revise committee allocations, aggregates, and other levels, and make adjustments to the pay-as-you-go ledger. This applies to legislation relating to increasing energy security and Federal revenues by promoting the development of Federal coal in the Powder River Basin, as long as that legislation does not increase the deficit over the total period of fiscal years 2025 through 2034.
