What this amendment would do
MR. PADILLA submitted SA 1101, which is an amendment intended to be proposed to the concurrent resolution S. Con. Res. 7 for the fiscal year 2025 congressional budget.
The purpose of this amendment is to add a new point of order to title IV. This aims to stop the Senate from considering certain bills, joint resolutions, amendments, or conference reports that include cuts or policies that would lead to interruptions in veterans mental health care coverage or services.
To bypass this rule and waive or suspend it, or to sustain an appeal of the ruling of the Chair, an affirmative vote of three-fifths of the sworn Members of the Senate is required.
