What this bill would do

This bill, known as the "Renewable Fuel for Ocean-Going Vessels Act," seeks to amend the Clean Air Act. The primary goal is to include fuel used for ocean-going vessels as a type of renewable fuel. By doing this, these fuels can be used to generate credits under the existing renewable fuel program. The changes would apply starting in the second calendar year after the bill becomes law. Additionally, the EPA Administrator is required to create regulations and submit a report to Congress regarding the implementation of these changes.
