What this bill would do
The Government Spectrum Valuation Act requires the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) to estimate the value of electromagnetic spectrum assigned to Federal entities. This applies to specific frequency bands between 3 kilohertz and 95 gigahertz. The estimates will be conducted on a staggered schedule over three years and repeated every three years thereafter. Estimates are based on the potential value of commercial wireless services. Federal entities must include these estimated values in their budgets and annual financial statements.
