What this bill would do
This bill, known as the "Small Business Cybersecurity Assistance Evaluation Act of 2026," directs the Comptroller General to conduct a study on Federal cybersecurity assistance for small business concerns. The study focuses on initiatives, programs, and tools intended to help small businesses identify risks, assess preparedness, and recover from cyber attacks or fraud. It also looks at how small businesses find capital for these cybersecurity activities. The study must evaluate the awareness, use, and coordination of existing Federal resources. Finally, the Comptroller General is required to submit a report of these findings to specific committees in the Senate and the House.
