What this bill would do
The Duster Inhalation Prevention Act aims to regulate compressed air dusters to stop people from abusing them as inhalants. It requires the Consumer Product Safety Commission to label certain substances, like HFC-152a and HFC-134a, as hazardous. Any aerosol duster product containing more than 18 mg of these substances would be banned. The bill also prevents manufacturers from stockpiling these banned products. Additionally, the Commission can add other harmful propellants to the hazardous list. This law does not apply to drugs regulated by the Food and Drug Administration.
