What this bill would do

This bill is called the "Port Modernization and Supply Chain Protection Act". Its main purpose is to repeal the requirements of the Foreign Dredge Act of 1906 regarding dredging and dredged material. Specifically, it repeals Section 55109 of title 46, United States Code. It also removes "dredged material" from the transportation requirements found in Section 55110 of title 46, United States Code.
