What this bill would do

This bill is called the Postal Delivery Accountability Act. It requires the Postal Service to review and, as far as practicable, put into action the recommendations from the Inspector General. These recommendations come from a specific report dated December 16, 2022, regarding undelivered and partially delivered mail routes. The Postal Service has a deadline of one year after the bill becomes law to implement these recommendations. Our elected officials are pushing this to hold the Postal Service accountable for fixing mail delivery issues.
