What this bill would do

This bill, known as the "D.C. Shield Law Repeal Act," seeks to repeal the Human Rights Sanctuary Amendment Act of 2022. By passing this act, the Human Rights Sanctuary Amendment Act of 2022 (D.C. Law 24-257) would be removed. Furthermore, any provision of law that was previously amended or repealed by that 2022 Act would be restored or revived. This legislation was introduced by Mr. Lee and referred to the Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.
