What this bill would do
This bill, known as the "LINC VA Act," directs the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to run a pilot program to create or improve a community integration platform. This platform is designed to coordinate various local support services for veterans through different organizations. The program includes collecting information from veterans regarding social determinants of health through standardized tools and routine care. The pilot program must be implemented at no fewer than five different types of medical facilities. Additionally, the bill establishes requirements for tracking referrals and coordination with State Medicaid programs. Finally, it mandates reports to Congress and an evaluation by the Comptroller General to measure the program's impact.
