What this bill would do
The Advanced Artificial Intelligence Security Readiness Act of 2025 directs the Director of the National Security Agency to create security guidance for artificial intelligence technologies. This guidance aims to identify vulnerabilities and supply chain risks to protect against theft or sabotage by foreign threat actors. The Director must develop strategies to protect model weights, mitigate insider threats, and implement network access controls. To create this guidance, the Director is required to engage with AI developers, researchers, and various federal agencies. The Act also mandates the submission of an initial report and a final report to congressional intelligence committees.
