What this bill would do
The Worker Privacy Act amends the National Labor Relations Act to change how voter lists are handled during union elections. Employers must provide labor organizations with a voter list including employee names and one piece of personal contact information chosen by the employee in writing. The bill makes it an unfair labor practice for employers to violate these requirements. Additionally, it prohibits labor organizations from using this information for anything other than representation proceedings or failing to protect it. Labor organizations are still allowed to use information voluntarily provided by employees.
