What this bill would do

The ``Stop Pills That Kill Act'' seeks to amend the Controlled Substances Act. This amendment would prohibit certain acts related to fentanyl, its analogues, and counterfeit substances. The bill defines a counterfeit fentanyl or methamphetamine substance as one containing those drugs that is marketed or sold using the trademark or likeness of another product. It requires the DEA Administrator to create an operation and response plan to investigate and seize these substances. Additionally, the plan must increase education and prevention efforts, specifically focusing on youth and teen access. Finally, the Attorney General is required to submit annual reports to Congress regarding the collection and prosecution of these substances.
