What this bill would do
This bill requires the Secretary of Health and Human Services to set up a real-time data dashboard for graduate medical education training positions. The goal of this dashboard is to improve health care workforce planning and help fix doctor shortages in medically underserved communities. The dashboard will track things like residency applications, match rates, geographic distribution of applicants, and where graduates eventually practice. Federal agencies must work together and share data to make sure this system avoids duplication and protects individual privacy. The bill also requires regular reports to Congress on workforce trends and the effectiveness of federal programs, and it authorizes one million five hundred thousand dollars for fiscal year 2026 to carry out the Act.
