What this bill would do

The Work Zone Weather Integration Act of 2025 requires the Secretary of Transportation to start a pilot program to make roads safer. This program will integrate real-time weather hazard alerts with data on active work zones. The goal is to develop technical protocols, test these systems with at least five participating States, and see if a nationwide rollout is feasible. The Secretary will work with agencies like the National Weather Service and private information providers. A report on the results and recommendations for expansion must be submitted within three years.
