What this bill would do
This bill is called the "Advisory Committee on the Records of Congress Sunset Act." It removes the Advisory Committee on the Records of Congress by striking chapter 27 of title 44 of the United States Code. The bill requires the Director of the Center for Legislative Archives to submit annual reports on the management and preservation of congressional records. These reports go to the Archivist, the Secretary, the Clerk, and specific Senate and House committees. Additionally, the Archivist, Secretary, and Clerk must meet to review these records.
