What this bill would do
The ``Healthcare for Our Troops Act'' aims to amend title 10 of the United States Code regarding health care for the Selected Reserve. This bill eliminates certain health care charges for members eligible for TRICARE Reserve Select. Specifically, it removes premiums for individual coverage for members of a reserve component. It also establishes rules for family coverage premiums and cost-sharing requirements. Additionally, the bill directs the Secretary of Defense to develop new forms for civilian health care providers. These changes are intended to apply one year after the Act is enacted.
