What this bill would do
The Tribal Gaming Regulatory Compliance Act aims to ensure all federally recognized Tribes eligible for gaming are regulated under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act. Currently, the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo and the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe have overlapping regulatory language governing their gaming activities. This bill seeks to eliminate that redundancy. It amends the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo and Alabama and Coushatta Indian Tribes of Texas Restoration Act to ensure the full applicability of the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act to these Tribes. This change will result in these Tribes being regulated in the same form and manner as all other Indian Tribes in the United States.
