What this bill would do

The Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2025 authorizes the creation of dedicated domestic terrorism offices within the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, and the FBI. These offices are tasked with monitoring, analyzing, investigating, and prosecuting domestic terrorism activity. The bill establishes a Domestic Terrorism Executive Committee to coordinate information sharing and host community forums. Additionally, it mandates specific training and resources for law enforcement to detect and deter threats, including White supremacist and neo-Nazi infiltration. An interagency task force will also be created to analyze infiltration within the uniformed services and Federal law enforcement. These specialized offices and their respective mandates are authorized for a 10-year period.
