The ADAPT Act aims to expand psychological mental and behavioral health services for Medicare, Medicaid, and CHIP beneficiaries. It allows for the reimbursement of services provided by certain supervised psychology trainees. These trainees include doctoral interns and postdoctoral residents completing accredited training. Under the bill, these services can be provided under the general supervision of a clinical psychologist. The Act also requires the development of a specific modifier code for billing purposes.
