What this bill would do
The PICTURES Act requires the Director of National Intelligence to create a report regarding the wealth of the Chinese Communist Party leadership. This report must include detailed assessments of the financial holdings, business interests, and personal assets of high-ranking officials and their immediate family members. The intelligence community is tasked with providing this information, including documentation and potentially photographic evidence of assets like real estate or luxury items. The report must also identify financial proxies used to hide these assets. A public version of the report is to be posted on the Office of the Director of National Intelligence website. Finally, the report must be submitted to specific intelligence committees in both the Senate and the House.
