What this bill would do
This bill, known as the "Tennessee Valley Authority Salary Transparency Act," seeks to amend the Tennessee Valley Authority Act of 1933. It changes the financial reporting requirements for the Board. Specifically, it replaces the requirement for a financial statement with a report detailing certain employees. This report must include the name, salary, and duties of management-level employees or those receiving compensation equal to or greater than the GS-15 pay rate. Additionally, the bill creates an exemption for this salary information from certain disclosure requirements.
