What this bill would do
This bill, known as the "Cormorant Relief Act of 2025," directs the Secretary of the Interior to reissue a specific depredation order regarding double-crested cormorants at aquaculture facilities. The Secretary must reissue the order within one year of the act's enactment. This new order must match the original order that was in effect on January 1, 2016. However, the reissued order will expand its reach to include several additional states. It will also extend coverage to lake managers and pond managers.
