What this bill would do

This bill, known as the ``Seizure Safe Schools Act of 2026'', directs the Secretary of Education to create guidance for seizure safety in schools. This must be done within 6 months of the act's enactment. The Secretary will work together with the Secretary of Health and Human Services on this task. The guidance focuses on how elementary and secondary schools can promote safety and care for students with epilepsy or other seizure disorders.
