This bill is called the House Our Heroes Act. It gives the Secretary of Veterans Affairs the power to offer an educational course to veterans whose guaranteed loans are delinquent or foreclosed. The course can cover improving credit scores, managing finances, and loss mitigation options. Additionally, for certain loans in default from missed payments between May 1, 2025, and November 28, 2026, the Secretary may make a partial claim. The Secretary may also consent to modifying the interest rate, time of payment, security, or other provisions of the note or mortgage.
