What this bill would do
The Tariff Impacted Farmer Support Act of 2026 directs the Secretary of Agriculture to provide economic assistance to qualifying producers. These payments are intended to address revenue losses related to covered commodities during the 2025 and 2026 crop years. The Secretary will determine payment amounts using a formula based on the difference in total revenue between the current and preceding crop years. A total of $15,000,000,000 is allocated from the Commodity Credit Corporation, split equally between the two years. Producers are limited to receiving only one payment under this act.
