What this bill would do

The Improving Clarity and Transparency for Unions Act of 2026 amends the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959. It requires labor organizations to include the results of any financial audits they have access to in their financial reports. Additionally, it requires these reports to be provided to members via the organization's website. If no website exists, a physical or electronic copy must be provided upon a member's request. These changes take effect six months after the act is enacted.
