What this bill would do
This bill, known as the "TIMEOUT Act," directs the relocation of certain Federal office spaces currently located in sanctuary jurisdictions. The Administrator of the General Services Administration must identify nonessential administrative office space held by covered Federal agencies in these jurisdictions. Once identified, these agencies are required to move their offices to locations outside of sanctuary jurisdictions. The Act also prohibits covered Federal agencies from establishing, acquiring, leasing, or renewing office space in these jurisdictions. Additionally, the bill forbids the use of Federal funds for new or renewed office space within a sanctuary jurisdiction.
