What this bill would do

The Secure Aluminum Supply Chains Act requires the United States International Trade Commission to investigate national and economic security risks. This investigation focuses on the export of aluminum scrap to countries of concern, which include Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea. The Commission must also look at aluminum scrap available to entities controlled by these countries. After the review, the Commission must provide recommendations to Congress and the President on how to handle these risks. The report is due within 180 days of the Act's enactment.
